Description
Our team of skilled and trained professionals have enabled us to manufacture Water Purifier. Ground water contamination is quite adverse in many parts of India with the presence of fluoride and coal. The effects of these contamination are a disease of the bone called fluorosis both dental and skeletal. Hence varied methods of water purification have been adopted, and the most popular one is electrochemical technology. Developed by Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI) CSIR Tamil Nadu, this process involves flowing the water through an electrochemical cell (electrolyzer). Containing soluble anodes and cathodes, this electrolyzer is operated by DC current hence when electricity is passed through it, the anodes dissolve. The dissolving anode produces aluminum hydroxide in anactive form that eventually absorbs the fluoride and settles. This process of water purification does not effect the taste or the quality of the water. Safex Aqua Electrochemical De-fluoridation of Drinking Water is the method that has been used for this Water Purifier.
Safex Aqua Electrochemical De-fluoridation of Drinking Water
Electrochemical De-fluoridation of Drinking Water has been developed by the Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI) CSIR Tamilnadu. The removal of fluoride in drinking water is effected by following the water containing fluoride through an electrochemical cell (electrolyser). The electrolyser consists of soluble anodes and cathodes. When DC current is applied, the anode dissolves and provides the required aluminum hydroxide in a very finely divided and active form. The aluminum hydroxide adsorbs the fluoride and settles easily. The process provides the most effective defluoridation media that has selective high efficiency fluoride removal properties. The total system is simple for operation and maintenance and does not effect the other parameters of water Quality. This process does not involve addition of any chemical and has unit operation such as settling and clarifying as in conventional chemical precipitation. Electrochemical defluoridation technology is suitable for treating water-containing any extent of fluoride to less than 1.5ppm.
